I almost believe that, but it has one of those Plastic Library Type Dust Jackets
Any chance this is the real McCoy

I've got a hard cover, first edition of BLACK WIND, too! It has a dust jacket. Someone made some bizarre circle markings on a few pages in the beginning of the book. It's not signed; it's not a libary copy. The dust jacket has $18.95 as the original price. It's a TOR Book, First Edition: September, 1988 followed by 0987654321.
I got it from amazon.com used book section a few years back. Because it was so easy to obtain, I didn't think it was unusual.

Reading is freedom.
The mind soars, no earthly cares,
no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
