I just came across the following tidbit and thought everyone might find this interesting (or amusing depending on your musical tastes):

"MYTHIASIN, featuring former STEEL PROPHET singer Rick Mythiasin, will be having their new demo aired on the internet on The Alternative Noisefactor, a program developed by Dutch station Omroep Terneuzen. It broadcasts every Wednesday between 9:00pm - 11:00pm CET (3:00pm - 5:00pm EST).

In other news, Rick Mythiasin and guitarist Mark Coglan recently did an interview with Metal To Infinity. The following is a brief excerpt of the pair describing the band's sound:

Coglan: "I don’t think we fit nicely into any one genre of metal. One song might be complete power metal and the next one comes along and it is just pounding drums and blast beats and Rick’s screaming like he just got his nuts bitten off by a coyote. Although we would probably be classified as a power metal band we have no power ballads and 70% of our songs are fast as hell and very thrashy. There is also more than little influence from the bands coming out of Sweden, like The Crown, or At the Gates."

Mythiasin: "We're like power thrash with a sinister edge! Songs about despair and an uncertainty of a violent future we all live in. Impending doom and destruction and judgement and ultimately cast into the fires of hell for a life of sin and unrepentance! The first song is called 'The Future Is The End'. It’s inspired from the book The Keep by F. Paul Wilson."

I listened to this song on http://www.bravewords.com - just look for the newsbit about "MYTHIASIN" for a link. Who knows, maybe FPW will grow a mullet and start headbanging......

Cheers,

Brett

..In the game Silent Hill, all the streets in the town are named after horror writers. There is indeed a Wilson Street. Van Helsing tough, I must have missed the ref. Of course Icouldn't stand the movie so I may have turned it off prior to the tribute in question.

That's just HELLSING - the anime series. One episode has a vampire-infested castle in which they do terrible things to a character named Paul Wilson.
