What about Jensen Ackles? Has anyone considered him for the role?

My issue with Sam Rockwell is his age. The man is 51 years old now (2020). Jack is supposed to be in his mid-30s.

Even my own suggestion of Jensen Ackles is a stretch, for Ackles is 42, but he doesn't look that old.

One more pitch: Taron Egerton from Kingsmen and Rocketman.

Yeah, Sam's age is a problem, but he'd be good. He'd own Jack.

Christopher Gorham from Covert Affairs. Perfect for the part!

That?s a Very inspired choice. Most of these guys people are picking are too old and way too classically handsome. Gorham has a bit of a dork in him and while not ugly by any means, he is not a stand out. And he has really good acting chops. He played a blind guy once and the show is terrible but his acting was terrific.

Alexander Skarsgard, Chris Pratt, Tom Hardy, or Michael Fassbender would be on my list

is there something about ?not too good looking? that you don?t understand? Those men are considered some of the sexiest alive. I?m sure they could ugly them up, like Charlize Theron in monster ( talk about a perfect Gia back in the day) but I?m not sure they can make them look plain.

I was thinking Ryan Gosling but according to my wife he’s way too good looking. I don’t see it at all. I couldn’t stand the guy until he blew me away in the blade runner movie

And with the way Hollywood’s going these days I feel like they would have to make Repairman Jack a woman. In which case my vote would be Milla Kunis us or Kate Beckinsale. Because of course ‘Repairwoman Jack’ would have to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
