It's a good possibility that as soon as he arrived he went insane, then died of fright right before being eaten alive by nightmarish beasties.
Srem Wrote:I totally agree with this.Too bad he lost his monkey from conspiracies.
Rasalom might have become bored and maybe even a little lonely if his old buddy Glaeken weren't around anymore.
I feel a bad parody of post-Nightworld coming on if things had ended differently than what they did...

I was a little let down by the flap of skin. Jack's had it for so many books now, and for the lady to ask for it back unceremoniously just felt kind of anticlimactic. I'd expected some sort of epic use for it eventually.
There are loose ends here though that I'm not nearly as concerned about as other people seem to be. The Yeniceri and the Oculus - it would be nice to see Diana freed from her Oculus status but other than that, I have no concern for them. They have contributed nothing of major value (that I can recall), and have only displayed ineptitude and caused Jack a lot of trouble. Jack's brother is gone just as sure as the rest of his family. In my mind, I have written him off. In fact, in my opinion, it would be a harsh irony to have his brother, the most unworthy of his family members, to make a reappearance.
I'm really excited to see how The Touch will tie in with Nightworld.
I'm not a big fan of E.L.O., but this past week or so, whenever I hear "Showdown" on the radio, I think of Jack.
