Anyway, you will enjoy the book. Be sure to read it carefully. Wink

Only chronologically, Libby. If anyone on this board didn't know otherwise, they would think you were older (this is a GOOD thing). Could I see some ID please? Wink

Everyone's coming up with significance to their numbers. Hmmm. 18? That's the year I was old enough to be drafted and sent to Viet Nam! But instead I went to college and became a smartass. Smile

My "By the Sword" has arrived. Gauntlet have excelled yet again, not only have I got the book & slipcase but a free signed ARC

Can't wait to read - anything else I was reading goes on hold!

Gauntlet is a GREAT publisher! Paul chose wisely when he chose them to do his limited first editions. I have always been more than pleased with everything they do.

In fact, it was Barry Hoffman who first put me in contact with Paul, back in April 2003 when I asked Barry to send along my compliments to Paul on a book. The rest, as they say, is history. More than 5 years of contact with my favorite author and a large group of wonderful people. It's been good!

I haven't been billed for it either -- although I know I ordered it.

I called Gauntlet last week, and was told that they had all been mailed and to wait a few more days. I'm going to call them tomorrow and ask them to check again.

Hi Ken - I had the same problem when Bloodline came out. It seems that Barry just plain old lost the order or forgot but I had been charged for it. Barry cut me a great deal sending me a PC of the lettered traycased edition for only $20 or so extra

Hope yours arrives soon

Steve
PS My copy arrived here in Scotland this morning

Nice one Dave re: the free ARC. How did you manage to wangle that?

I talked to Barry today -- well, yesterday actually -- and he confirmed that he had sent it. He added that if I don't receive it by next week, he'll send me another copy.

I've had a bit of a problem with incompetent mailmen over the last couple of years. They'll get the house number right, but the street name is wrong -- or vice versa. I figure if I'm occasionally getting someone else's mail, somebody else is occasionally getting mine.

Not sure - guess that was the deal on lettered this time

For Bloodline & Secret Histories it was a page from Paul's original notes

Only read the first day and already hooked

Now I got what you mean, Biggles!

In 91 page,

Of the three, Kenji spoke the best English, and was obviously trying to hone whatever fluency he had.

Well, I hope so! Confusedmilewinkgrin:
