I did a search and couldn't find a thread for this yet so here goes...

What songs would you like in the Repairman Jack movie Soundtrack??

A couple that came to mind are:

Black Sabbath - The Mob Rules
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
The Firm - Live in Peace

"Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring. One of my favorites for sure, but think about it......guns, strange occurrences and mayhem.

All right, you're gonna have to give me some time on this, but I can come up with some great ones. Ones that would make a great action see with music playing to Jack fighting one of the many things/people he fights.

Godsmack - The Enemy
Godsmack - I Stand Alone
DevilDriver - Meet The Wretched
DevilDriver - Not All Who Wander Are Lost
In Flames - Reroute To Remain
In Flames - Dead End
In Flames - Only For The Weak

This is just off the top of my head, I'll have to listen to my music a lot more and I'll right down some good ones. Oh, just thought of another one,

In Flames - Behind Space

Anyway, give me some time, I'll post again.

Hmmmn. Music for Repairman Jack I: Claws of the Rakoshi.

I thought about starting this thread a few weeks ago when I had a couple of songs in mind, but got busy and didn't, so good on-ya, Pirate![tips glass to pirate]. Of course I cannot now remember what those songs were.

The only one I have, off the top of my head is:
No Leaf Clover - Metallica, for the end credits.

I'll pick a couple good candidates out of my 25,000 song collection and post them in the next 48 hours.

PS -- Voices, by Russ Ballard, as the opening credits for Repairman Jack V: Hosts-Attack of the Drones

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

Well, it's not the greatest music in the world, but it has been mentioned in two Repairman Jack books, which makes me think that FPW has an affinity for the music... Cowboy Junkies. And no, not Sweet Jane, but something else more appropriate.

Here's my picks, however....

The Other Side.... Aerosmith
Don't Fear The Reaper.... Blue Oyster Cult
Criminal.... Fiona Apple
My Hero.... Foo Fighters
New York, New York.... Frank Sinatra
Land Of Confusion.... Genesis
Sympathy For The Devil.... Guns & Roses
The Passenger.... Iggy Pop
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.... Iron Butterfly
Gonna Shoot You Right Down.... Jimmy Rogers
God's Gonna Cut You Down.... Johnny Cash

Those are just a few of my ideas for a potential soundtrack to the movie. Some songs of course might be more appropriate if they had a bit of a hard-rock remake tone. Tell me what ya think!

Taking Care of Business, BTO...for the drug dealer in Repairman Jack IV: Rage of the Last Rakosh

...Overdone, I know, but I can see, in my mind's eye, a slow-mo shot of tires falling from the sky on a dinner party, as this song plays.

Heh.

Sun Comes Up, It's Tuesday Morning would be a good choice. Common Disaster might work in the right spot.

felinestevens Wrote:Don't Fear The Reaper.... Blue Oyster Cult

That's one of the ones I was thinking of a few weeks ago! Then I remembered that it was in the Stand. Then I thought to myself who cares, it would be awesome!

felinestevens Wrote:New York, New York.... Frank Sinatra

Gotta be there! Opening Credits? Definitely!

felinestevens Wrote:Land Of Confusion.... Genesis

I'd have taken In the Air Tonight instead...not everyone seeing the movie will remember the Miami Vice TV pilot, so it could work.

felinestevens Wrote:Sympathy For The Devil.... Guns & Roses

I'll have to track down the rest.
