I loved, loved, loved the attack of the HUMONGOUS black smoke entity. Did you notice that Ben was covered in dirt, with black face and very black hands, when he came back from wherever he went behind his hidey hole. Whatever he had to do to summon the black smoke required some serious playing in the dirt.

I also loved the door to wherever he went behind his hidey hole. That door was covered in what looked to be ancient signs and cuniforms. Way cool.

I wonder if Ben could have called the black smoke monster if his daughter hadn't turned off the power to the fence.

Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

That was one intense episode.

But, I have to ask about this thread... why do we need to worry about all the "Spoiler" tags? Can't we just make the clear assumption that discussion of these episodes will include spoilers and if someone doesn't want to have anything ruined for them, they should just stay out?

Why are we hiding our posts here?

I've said it before, Ben is the most dastardly villain ever! A Judas and a manipulative creep. Who suffers?..... his daughter. This may seem cruel, but you almost wanted to "cheer" at the look on Ben's face....something didn't go his way.
It also seems to me that Hurley is much more responsible now, calmer and resigned to accept and follow his destiny.

I agree.... Ben is far and away the best TV villain in the history of TV villains.

Because there's no clear indication that thread is a spoiler thread. Someone could wander in thinking it's a general discussion about the fourth season and have episodes ruined.

I agree. Phooey on black outs. I had originally written something like that on my last post, then backed down and blacked out my post.

I like Marc's idea about a new thread with spoiler in the thread heading. When I started this thread, the second half of the 4th season hadn't even begun.

So, on to the new spoiler thread.

Well, it really is the key to the whole game. LOL! You either have to begin or end there and not block yourself off along the way.

I don't want to post in the 'spoiler thread'. If someone is stoopid enough to read this thread without having seen the most recent episode then to hell with them.

I didnt see this door very clearly becasue we are forced to watch Lost over the internet due to spazzy issues with cable TV providers in the UK.

Looks pretty cool, according to Lostpedia these symbols summon protection, and they pointed out that the timer turned into hieroglyphics if they didnt push the button on time.

I think 'The Shape Of Things To Come' was a pretty good episode, with lots going on. One thing that hasnt been mentioned much is Jack's tummy ache ---- is this the Losties' first victim to the mysterious illness that afflicted Rousseau's troupe?

This is more of a political commentary with allusions to LOST.
