ccosborne3 Wrote:Another great episode. The flash forwards have been much more entertaining than the flashbacks ever were. The big question for this episode is who was Sayid tring to kill? I'd guess either Abbadon or Widmore, unless it's someone that hasn't even been on the show yet.
I think we won't know most of those people; I think they are connected to Dharma, with Penny's father top of the hit list, which is why that group is so anxious to get Ben and kill him.
Quote: I'm really enjoying this season. The writers seem to be getting very creative.
They sure have. They've been massively creative all along, but this season has built on everything that's gone before and expanding into the whole wide world now, not just the confines of the Island, though there is so much to explore on that Island they could stay there forever and find wildly creative things to write about.
Quote: Someone needs to kill Ben. Beating the crap out of him every episode is fun to watch but enough's enough.
Hilarious and too true. But Ben is not going to die.
Here's a horrifying thought....suppose BEN is the "he" that Kate has to get home to in the flash forward with Jack at the airport!!!???? Suppose Kate and Ben have some as yet undiscovered connection, or he blackmails her into staying with him or taking care of him or something because of her nefarious background. OMG, I'd rather kill myself than live like that.
But maybe if this scenario is even half-true, maybe Ben has threatened all of the Oceanic 6 by promising to hurt the people left on the Island if they all don't do what he says. Good lord, the more I think about this show, the more all-powerful Ben becomes.
Quote:How many times has Sayid been shot? I'm thinking at least 3.
Poor Sayid, he wants so badly to atone for all that he's done, but he seems to be punished again and again. The ladies he loves are taken away, he gets shot, and never gets out from under the thumb of someone who wants to make him do bad things.
I was wondering if the conversation that Ben and Sayid had in the flash forward referred to Sayid's original fall into torturing, back in Irag when he let his lady love go free and was then captured by Kate's father (remember that?!) and forced to become a torturer by Kelvin (remember that?!). Ben accuses Sayid of getting into trouble by thinking with his heart rather than his gun, and Ben tells him to remember what happened the first time Sayid thought that way, though no details are given. Sayid says something like that's how you convinced me to kill for you. Was he referring to Irag or something closer in time to the Island?
