"Blade Sinister" a bastardization of "bend sinister" which is a band on a coat of arms from the upper right corner to the lower left corner as seen by the viewer that signifies bastardy in the family (blood)line. Who knew they advertised these things?

Coincidence: In medicine and pharmacy oculus sinister means left eye

The dark cut - I just think it sounds cool - good name for a cult if there needs to be one in the book?
