In no particular order until the last one:

Star Trek 5
Shark Attack 3: Megalodon
Species II
Species III

and the worst movie of ALL time...

HIGHLANDER II: The Quickening

Just to generate some controversy, I will also say that I really hated BLADE RUNNER.

And I'd like to recommend an INTENTIONALLY bad film made recently to look like an old film -- THE LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA. This is a gem of a movie! I absolutely loved it and laughed like crazy at how it played on the old bad movies many of us grew up on!

Dracula 3000. Though IMO the very last scene (ETA: removed it on the off chance someone wants to see it and doesn't want it spoiled for him/her) is so unintentionally hilarious.

The Blair Witch Project
. I doubt that even MST3K could save this disaster.

Epic Movie. And I'm a fan of most satires.

X-Men 3. I found it almost totally disconnected from the first 2 movies in terms of character personality traits & inclinations, among other things.

As for the last, I'll go with Matrix2 & 3--technically 1 movie, IMO, as 2 ended on a cliffhanger and got picked up a few months later by 3.

Honorable mentions, though...here's one I never saw, but I'll have to if I ever get the chance unless someone can save me from myself:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_wars_holiday_special

And I actually liked this one that was so bad it was good, but I expect many would need to bleach out their eyes after having seen it (btw, this multipage review is not only so true, I think it's the most hilarious review I've ever read!):

http://www.x-entertainment.com/worst.html

And after reading the page on the music video, if you feel perversely compelled to see if it's as bad as he says, you CAN find it on YT....

I want to agree with practically everyone! Yeah, that was bad! Oh my God! That was worse! I think there is no way to limit "the worst" to just five.

I think we need a list of the Top 100 Worst Movies that were released by the production company thinking they were great A-tier level movies.

In no particular order (listing only movies I've seen at least part of the movie)...
  • Superbabies
  • Leonard Part 6
  • Battlefield Earth
  • Jaws: The Revenge
  • Hercules in New York
  • Catwoman
  • Elektra
  • White Noise
  • Dragonfly
  • The Adventures of Pluto Nash
  • BloodRayne
  • Rollerball (the remake version)
  • The Covenant
  • Ice Pirates
  • The Keep
  • The Matrix Sequels (movies beginning with R)
  • Blair Witch Project
  • Krakatoa, East of Java
  • Highlander Sequels (all of them)
  • Howard the Duck
  • Superman IV
  • Dreamcatcher
  • Be Cool
  • Ghosts of Mars
  • Dungeons & Dragons
  • Stayin' Alive
  • Congo
  • Batman & Robin (George Clooney version)

There are some dead cert bad movies in that list alright.

A few that I'd actually argue as classics, though. . . I mean --- Battlefield Earth? How can you not like that movie? It was deep man. Big Grin

I accidentally dropped a load of worthless change in the street. I was going to just leave it there but a burly policeman lumbered towards me and said, "You'd better pick that up, son."

I hate coppers.

I've never heard of any of those movies. Of course, you could always include Slave of the Cannibal God, starring Ursula Andress. I'm going to have to buy that movie someday.

Of course, we could start another thread. "Movie posters that shamelessly exploit the female figure for the enjoyment of eternally adolescent men." Big Grin Big Grin

BK Akitas Wrote:All this talk about favorites makes you think about the bombs too. Give us your list!

5) Time Bandits (slugs/ HE created slugs?)
4) Ice Pirates ( a space herpe????)
3) Beneath The Planet Of the Apes (Hail the Bomb!..oh yeah and the destructive device too)
2) The Breed (I'm sorry Adrian honey I love ya but my GOD what were you thinking????????)

and the number one IT SUCKS of all time......

1) Blackula!

once again, thanks to my ex who laughed his ass off helping me come up with these.

The worst film I've ever seen by a true film genius was THE COUNTESS FROM HONG KONG by Charles Chaplin. It was wince-inducing. This, from the artist who created the matchless CITY LIGHTS and so many others? I could not believe what I was seeing.
