SPOILER!!!

webby Wrote:I think Jonah's "Plan" with Hank, Jeremy, Christy and Dawn was a Backup Plan. Little "Jimmy" was about the same age as Hank and Jeremy, right? Or am I tangling up the timeline? If they are about the same age, well, Jonah knew that Jimmy was The One, but he also knew that anything could happen, hence the Plan as a backup - just in case.

I guess so too, it was a backup plan. I also guess he had some plans. I'm looking forward to next RJ novel.

webby Wrote:Where does Jack get his oDNA from? Since he apparently has such a large amount, it has to be from both his mother and father. And I think now we know why the Ally and the Otherness seem to have been keeping an eye on Jack all his life and sometimes meddling in it. All the oDNA must get their attention, at least a little bit.

I guess his father, Thomas had oDNA.

webby Wrote:What does Rasalom have planned for Dawn? I don't have the foggiest idea yet, but it can't be anything good!

Not for Dawn. For Dawn's son. Rasalom's plan? I guess he try to bring up him for soldier of Otherness. But Jack defeat that plan. Or maybe yeniceri'll do it? Big Grin

webby Wrote:As for P. Frank Winslow - it was highly amusing that his publisher wouldn't touch the Legacies or Conspiricies stories. I'm very curious to see where this storyline is going. And I'm greatly relieved that it doesn't look at all like the Dark Tower series' "Stephen King as a character and the author" foolishness. I was only a little bit worried about that. Wink

Maybe he'll show up in next RJ novel again. No more coincidence for Jack.

Yeah, what about the yeniceri? We need to know what's happened to Diana and Cal Davis (who I'm sure is stll alive).

And Glaeken, too. Jack and Glaeken just have to finally meet in the next book. That is one scene I am dying to read!

Maybe, they'll appear in next RJ novel, and they'll try to kill Dawn's baby.

I'm expecting that moment! Cool

WOW....what a great part of the saga. Just makes me what more and more. I have so many questions, but I'll wait for more of us to finish.

One thing I will say.....I feel so sorry for Dawn. Out of the proverbial frying pan and into the fire for her.

Yay! Yay! I finally got to read it and finish it! But anyway, I don't feel like quoting a whole of people so let's just say I agree with everything that's been said. I noticed a lot of familiar names in this book as well. I also had the thought that Jack may be a descendant of Rasalom/Glaeken. This is a Bloodline thread so if anyone else has spoilers of Nightworld please post a Nightworld spoiler. I have not read Nightworld yet and won't read it until all the RJ books have come out and I have read them since Nightworld is the complete end. Did anyone else remember that Jonah killed poeple with a tire iron? Coincidence? Guess not, since Jack doesn't have that anymore. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

Damn, I'd forgotten about that. Cool. No, wait. I remembered. Just wanted to see who noticed. Yeah, that's it.

This is first time you've quoted me. Yay! Also I remebered about Jonah, but that's probably because I read Reborn about 2-3 months ago. I've read all the RJ books, and Adversary Cycle in the last 6 months. Now I have to reread Reborn because I don't remember where it was. Oh well, I'll find it.

Now then, that's where Jonas killed some people with the tire iron, although it's not in this part that it is stated that it was a tire iron. Does anyone want me to continue rereading until find that part, or is this enough to jog memories? It jogged webby's memory Big Grin

OK, finished BLOODLINE in a day. Rip roaring good reading. Thanks, Paul.

SPOILERS...............for BLOODLINE, THE TOUCH, and some parts of THE ADVERSARY CYCLE.....

Jonah worked in a slaughterhouse and loved knocking those poor cattle to death. I just finished BLOODLINE but can't remember if it was Hank or Jeremy who also worked in a slaughterhouse. Nifty...like father like son.

It's been a long time since I read the Adversary Cycle, so my memory is sketchy. Wasn't there a young child, a young boy, a toddler, who either didn't speak or who saw things? Did he have The Touch? Was he just in THE TOUCH or was he also in NIGHTWORLD? I have a memory of the child and his mother traveling to some place on Long Island, most likely Monroe, as the world is falling apart, so I guess it must be in NIGHTWORLD. Chew wasps figured in the scene as did the doctor (now in a wheelchair) from THE TOUCH. Geez, guess I have to read the AC again, and soon. But I was wondering if it could be Dawn's child, yet the age of the toddler doesn't fit. Mostly I remember that the child was very, very special in some way. As I said, I think, if I remember correctly, the child could see things, much as Jonah could.

I have to say, probably for the umpteenth time, that no one writes a thriller like F. Paul Wilson. No one can keep me on the edge of my seat and keep me up at night compelled to find out what happens next (not an easy feat the older I get) like FPW. There's just a quality to Paul's writing and his extraordinary imagination that I haven't found anywhere else. We're lucky to have you, Paul.

I've always loved the fact that FPW has no compunction about killing off characters that we've come to care about. Their deaths always advance the story, so they die for good reason. But it is chilling.

Waaaay long ago, when the cover for BLOODLINE was first revealed, I said it looked to me like DNA gone awry. I thought perhaps it was Rakoshi DNA. I wasn't far off. Neat.

maggers Wrote:It's FREAKISH DNA. It looks like what Rakoshi DNA might look like, a combination of human and Otherness.

Way cool, Paul.
Ahh....I'm basking in the afterglow of having completed the latest F. Paul Wilson Repairman Jack book. The glow will only last so long, though. I'll be needing another fix soon. Wink

P.S. Apropos of nothing...
I recently finished a nifty book called HAVOC by Jack du Brul. I've read all his books and have enjoyed every one of them. HAVOC features a super secret group of men called Janisaries, who've been in existence for hundreds and hundreds of years to protect a great secret. They are skilled fighters and are ready to die for their cause. They were startlingly similar to the yeniceries of HARBINGERS. Just thought I'd share that.

Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

I have now read Bloodline, too. Less over-the-top "supernatural" stuff and more straight action and detecting, which I prefer. I like Repairman Jack.

P. Frank Winslow? Jake Fixx? I got a little bit of a kick out of that. Also, the fact that Jack couldn't find a subdomain in MySpace and had to go with fix_it. I was kinda surprised that PFW only had the one short appearance in the novel but I expect that "Kicker" is sort of the second part of "Bloodline", that it is actually a two-novel arc. So I expect to hear some more about those dreams/nightmares that end up on paper. Plus, more talk about how publishers and novelists interact with one another. I found that interesting.

Not true.
