I was quite impressed with Bill Paxton's directing in FRAILTY, especially since he was also a lead actor in the film. His debut directing of a feature, too, right? That is one of those movies you don't soon forget.

Well, I can answer that question, although not how you might expect. I can verify that I am one person who did see it in the theater. I was in Michigan for work at the time, and I had an uncommonly free night. I went to see FRAILTY alone, just to pass the time. It may not have made much at the box office, but it did get a release.

Point being they woud'nt be special effects extavanganzas and could be somewhat inexpensive to produce. For Reborn all you'd need is some actors, couple of cameras and a spooky old house to stand in for the Hanley mansion.

I'm tired of seeing horror movies with the crappy CGI effects. Reborn is good enough not to need that crap. It would be an old school horror movie. Story driven. Lots of twists and the abortion angle would get it lots of free pub from the media.

Well, I was kinda kiddin' there, ccosborne. Fictioneering and directing are different talents. Or so it seems to me, anyway. The first is internal, the second is both internal, and having the will to boss people around. Other than the genius Shatner, who excels in both arts? :confused:

It's just a different medium for telling the story. I would think it's far more time consuming filming though. Quite a challenge.
