Personally, I never did like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, or The Unforgiven, but Bloodwork was pretty good. And so were The Outlaw Josie Wales and Pale Rider.

You never liked "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly"? Oooooh......
I like that movie, especially, three men's last showdown scene. That was cool.
Auskar Wrote:Bloodwork was probably fine if you weren't a Michael Connelly fan and had already read the novel. As much as I like Clint Eastwood, he did not "fit" that character and novel.

Quote:I certainly don't agree with the order of the top ten Eastwood movies as appears earlier in the thread. I don't know how they were ranked and would certainly have ranked them differently.
Kenji Wrote:Don't get me wrong, Auskar. My top ten is not about movie's best-degree. It's just my favorite-degree rank. Of course, his movies are all best, except "The Bridge of Madison County". I haven't seen "The Bridge of Madison County" yet, and I won't see it.
Kenji Wrote:I haven't read the novel. So I can't say anything about it. How's difference between them? Age? Personality? Looks...?It's been awhile since I read the novel and/or saw the movie, but what I CAN say is that Eastwood's day of playing a leading man who gets the girl are long past. I like Eastwood, always have. He plays a fine tough guy, but he is the tough guy that rides off into the sunset and leaves the girl. If you think about it, any movie where Eastwood gets the girl is either a bad movie in general or has a bad ending.
