He doesn't have a super power, but will surely be joining the group as their advisor/trainer/whatever. So, that would suggest that three out of the seven must be cut out for either villainy or quick death.
This is true, but maybe they aren't counting him simply because he doesn't have any powers (that we KNOW of... DUH-DUH-DUUUUUHH). It will be interesting to see exactly what kind of role Mohinder will actually play in the show once he's made first contact. It seems to me that he's more preoccupied with actually finding one of the "heroes" more than knowing what to do once he's found them. We're in a unique position of knowing what has to happen before any of the characters do. So the "why" and "what" has already been answered for us. It's the "how" we are seeing played out.
Quote: As for Mohinder's female companion being a "useless" role, am I the only one who smelled "setup" from the instant he met her? I think she was planted to keep an eye on his father, and now she's keeping an eye on him. We're going to see some serious badness out of her! (I wonder if she was involved in getting the killer's apartment cleaned out before Mohinder brought in the cops?)
That makes perfect sense. It explains a lot of their interactions. Who knows, maybe she has powers of her own. The question is whether she's with the cheerleaders dad or with Sylar. Maybe that's a redundant question.
Quote: P.S.: I think the murders that the ex-husband was accused of were actually carried out by his wife's other personality. How else do you explain her going to the exact same spot to bury the new bodies? Something about the way she described the murders to his mother sure sounded like her own MO.
Once again, great point. I thought it was kind of a red herring with the way the mother-in-law was just brushing aside any negative things about her son. It's like they were trying too hard to get us to believe he was bad. I also got a feeling that the husband wasn't even in the picture anymore, she'd probably already disposed of him (maybe that was him she dug up?). Either that, or he knows all about her second personality and he's hiding from her more than the cops. I think her character is one that will be pivotal later in the show. There will always be a struggle between good and evil for her and it's no mistake that she's been given a son (or "kid").
