Yoshio was very cool. I wanted him to do more too but no such luck. Although as I read the book everytime he came up I got hungry reading about all the food he was always eating.

I would have to say Frankie "Castles". He was way cool. Also the Kenton brothers. SPOILERS:
It's a shame that ALL of the awsome sidekicks die. Charlie, Frankie and Joey, Jack's dad, every one. Only Lyle Kenton suvived. I hope he lives for a while.
You'd think that Killing people would make them like you, but it doesn't! it just makes people dead.

I gotta go with Ba. He is the only character other than Jack that I'd really like to have watching my back.

I would have to agree with Ba he was an ass kicker. Jacks dad was also very cool. One of my all time favorites has to be Karl or is it Carl from Gateways. The guy with the messed up hand. I was kind of supprised no one mentioned him.

I'm surprised at the lack of love for Julio. He's so easy to picture in one's mind, and I can almost smell his latest awful cologne each time he's in a scene. Julio is also one of the recurring characters who really watches Jack's back. He screens and frisks clients, takes drop-offs for Jack, and generally watches out for him. Heaven help the one who hurts Jack if Julio finds him.

I also liked Anya from Gateways. I laughed everytime she said "Ovying".

Gotta go with Abe. When Scarlip came out of the water, Abe stood true--and Christ, he must have been confused and terrified!--to try to protect Gia and Vicky with his pistol. To me, that's the mark of a real man--whatever evil shit rains down, you stand your ground to protect women.

I think the mark of a good person-male of female- is to stand your ground to protect those in need- not just the old Man protects woman thing. I would die to protect, and I am not a man.Smile

Women can certainly be as courageous as men, and I did not mean to imply otherwise. But it's mens' jobs to physically protect women and children. I don't believe that idea would even be =questioned= before our own decadent times.

Yeah, I guess not. But I can fight better than the 3 guys in my class, so I pretty sure that if something actually dangerous happened, I would be left to deal with it.Smile Sometimes I wish that some stand up guy would be that person, but that may be too much to hope for. *sigh* Abe =was= really cool, and maybe I'm just over reacting. I have had a bad day...Big Grin

Have a good day tomorrow, Libby. The good days outnumber the bad ones by a titanic margin. And now, Little Blues must go uptown to lead his team to victory in TRIVIA.

You take care.
