I won a copy of Sibs by Dark Harvest the other week - it's winging it's way across the Atlantic as we speak. In her auction the seller said there are only 30 copies of each ARC that Dark Harvest did so they're quite rare!! Sadly, (from a collectors POV) most copies of ARCs are poorly cared for or thrown out - after all they are meant only for reviewing and only OCs like myself care about them!!

BTW, I've already acquired a signed ARC of Sims.

Perhaps Paul can answer these questions:

How many ARCs are typically published?

What must one do/be to be sent one?

How much do they usually go for on eBay?

Still don't.

How did you end up without one? Joe K. was handing out ARCs at GU-3, so I assumed that authors always had some to distribute. I've been buying your firsts and limiteds for months now, so ARCs would be the next step. I just wish I knew where to find them besides eBay.
