I've got a poster of that painting (Waterhouse) on my wall. No foolin'. Big Grin I've got Circe Invidiosa too. And the Hyland Nymphs...

Always thought La Belle Dame looked like you, Lisa. But Circe...she always looked like a guy...her face, that is.

Started feeding them and forgot all about the show! I am so ashamed! Did anyone tape it? I'd love to borrow it! Next week is an OLD rerun. Its the one from last season where Hurley goes after Rouseaux to ask her about the lottery numbers.

I loved the musical! ha ha Hurley has bigger boobs than me!

Well.. if it makes you feel better, not a lot happened. It was a filler episode if you ask me. Pretty boring.

And what is with the repeats?! For every new episode there is four repeats. And I must say, Lost isn't like Seinfeld where you can watch them over and over and enjoy.

I have noticed that they put in repeats that help remind you of stuff before the next new episode. Since next episode is Hurley and the lotto numbers, maybe that means the new one after that will give more info on the numbers. Just a theory. Or mindlesss babble!

If you have iTunes on your PC you can always go to the iTunes store a day or so after the episode you missed, buy it for $1.99, and watch it on your computer (or iPod). That is how I have been keeping up with the show over here in Hellg... I mean Belgium.

RIK,
Good to see you 'round again. I was thinking of you over in Belgium. How long will you guys be there and how are you and the baby and the family and everything? Given your post above, I guess it's not so grand.

Come vent here, if you need.

I know this is off topic, folks, oops.

Reading is freedom.
The mind soars, no earthly cares,
no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

Howdy Maggers,

I'm doing okay. Thanks. The baby is growing like a weed. She is a real handful. I don't think I was prepaired for her. She's a lot of fun though.

Lots if pictures here.

As far as Belgium is concerned, I'm just frustrated at how inconvenient things are. It's like they truly go out of there way to make everything difficult. And I don't just mean for ExPats. They complicate their lives so much over here. At some point when I have a little more time I will list some details.

Not sure how long we will be here. We can not be here longer than three years total (We have been here three months) because of the work Visa limit. Hopefully, it will not come to that.

After watching last nights episode I developed a new theory and wanted to run it by you guys.

It seems to me that almost all the characters we've been introduced to have been neglected, abandoned or treated badly by their parents. Is it possible that the island (or what we preceive to be an island) is maybe an orphanage or hospital or something and what we are seeing are the fantasies of abandoned children? It's pretty obvious almost all the characters are dealing with abandonment issues.

I hope not. That theory reminds me to much of the movie IDENTITY, which I disliked because of the total cop-out ending.

Interesting observation, though. It might have something to do with it.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

The producers have promised no it-was-all-a-dream resolution. But you're right about the abandonment issue: it's damn near ubiquitous (except for Hurley, I think). But maybe that says more about the writing team than the story.

Last night: the make-up kit with the beard plus Claire's memories of high-tech goings on are pretty good indicators that the Others aren't at all what they pretend to be.
