I have to say the great all timers of his, Uncle Buck, Great Outdoors... ext ext. I have to say after rewatching Trains, Planes, and Automobiles it's one of my favorites of all time. Seeing Steve Martin, and Kandy working together, there's a great chemistry there. That being said, I think Kandy has been in some 30+ major films, what is your favorite??

PS if you like Steve Martin see Novocaine for a good laugh. Big Grin

John Candy! Oh, he was good actor....Yeah, "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles" is one of my favorite comedy movies. Japanese title was "Big trouble PTA"(It's not joke). John Candy's best movie was "Cool Running". In this movie, he proved he is not only comedic actor.

I saw all of Steve Martin's movies. I like all of them. My favorite was sadistic dentist in "Little shop of Horrors". That was hysterical!!! Big Grin "All of me". "Jerk", "Lonely guy", "Three Amigos", "Dirty Rotten scoundrels", "The Man with Two Brains", and "Novocaine"..... gosh, I wanna see them again! Smile

Without a doubt, Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
Probably one of the funniest movies ever made, IMHO.

Got to agree with Planes, trains and automobiles. One of the funniest movies around. Uncle Buck is a close second for me.

I loved "SCTV" and Candy was great, as were all the other unbelievably talented cast members. It took him a long time, but in the last few Eugene Levy has come into his own, finally. I loved him in SCTV.

"Trains, Planes and Automobiles" would be my favorite Candy movie.

My favorite Steve Martin movie is "All of Me," followed by "The Man with Two Brains." LOVE LOVE LOVE Steve Martin...he's the man of my dreams. Good looking, smart and funny. Can't go wrong there.

no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

Mine would be "The Jerk". That was the film that made him a star.
