Maggers Wrote:My favorite Steve Martin movie is "All of Me," followed by "The Man with Two Brains." LOVE LOVE LOVE Steve Martin...he's the man of my dreams. Good looking, smart and funny. Can't go wrong there.
Scott Miller Wrote:What a wild and crazy guy. I remember seeing him for the first time during an Academy Awards broadcast and he came out without a head; he was giving away the visual effects award.
Besides the already mentioned, I'll add Roxanne, L.A. Story, Housesitter, Parenthood, Bowfinger, and Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid.
To see him in a more dramatic turn, I highly recommend The Spanish Prisoner. I liked him a lot in Grand Canyon, but not the movie so much.
He and Christopher Walken are the only two people I will watch SNL for.
And finally, if you can find it, try to check out the oscar-nominatedThe Absent-Minded Waiter.

jimbow8 Wrote:As far a John Candy, there are just too many good movies to pick one. I don't know if I could classify any as GREAT, but definitely GOOD and quality comedies.
As for Steve Martin, I have always been partial to The Man with Two Brains, but All of Me, The Jerk, Roxanne, LA Story are all great. A couple overlooked gems are Leap of Faith and A Simple Twist of Fate.
