I've only seen perhaps seven or eight different episodes, but yes, she always does die at the end or near it... interesting.

Jake Badlands is a Super Nintendo game character. To be honest wasn't sure who Jake E. Lee was before checking Google a few minutes ago.

Owed my buddy a flick for his assistance on my computer and none of the first run stuff that he hadn't seen held any appeal, so off to the budget theater we went to see it last night. Mercilessly panned by the critics, but it falls squarely into my guilty pleasure pile. I had never even heard of it until it was being made into a film so I held no preconceived notion about what it should be and maybe that helped. It was downright silly at times, but it packed enough cool sci-fi gadgetry and the action sequences were pretty decent for the most part that I could forgive its inanity.

The movie didn't stick around in the theater long enough for me to see it.

Same here. It disappeared three days before the time I had planned to see it, so now it's either DVD or dollar theatre, if there's one of the latter close by.

Eh... didn't do much for me. Looks like every other bad-ass woman whooping ass movie. I just kept thinking, "It's another Catwoman and Elektra.

I am one of those people who enjoyed the original cartoon when it was on Liquid Television... before MTV bought the rights and made it a half-hour show. I also enjoyed the shorts because there was no talking. Once dialog was introduced the show held no interest for me.

I dunno. I'll only see this if I'm suddenly drawn to it one day. No interest as of now.

It wasn't great, but I'd say it was a lot better than Catwoman and Elektra. It didn't come off as a 'I'm a badass because I'm a girl' kinda flick. It was more like Trinity in the Matrix- I kick ass when necessity dictates and I just so happen to own a vagina kinda film. I wanted to throw up when I saw Catwoman because of the non-stop, incessant camera angle changes and Elektra was just boring. This was on the verge of being a good movie. The sci-fi stuff was really cool, like her eye thing and the exploding balls thing, but I guess my complaint was that it was SO slow. I wouldn't have minded the level of engagement of the storyline if there had been an increase in the ass-kick ratio.

At last, I can see it in April. I'm looking forward to it.
