FPW's June 1 newsletter Wrote:5/2 ˆ signed a contract with Russian publisher Centrepolygraph for a ton of my backlist: LEGACIES, CONSPIRACIES, ALL THE RAGE, HOSTS, THE HAUNTED AIR, GATEWAYS, CRISSCROSS, HEALER, WHEELS WITHIN WHEELS, AN ENEMY OF THE STATE, DYDEETOWN WORLD, THE TERY.

Centrepolygraph has already done THE TOMB, so this will put the complete Repairman Jack series (so far) plus the entire LaNague series into Russian. Nice.

Where do I get these??? I don't remember much of my Russian (I had two years of it from '89 to '91; it's truly a beautiful language), but I always wanted to get back into it. I can't imagine a better way than reading the translations of these books! Can I, please? Huh? Huh? Can I??

There doesn't seem to be an English web page beyond this one, and no order page. Shopping suggestions?

Wish I could help you. I have to stay on the back of my agent's foreign rights dept. to get on the back of Centrepolygraph to send author copies. If I get multiples, I'll send you one.

Very kind of you! Don't go too far out of your way, though. It's the internet age; somewhere, somehow... I have got to be able to order one. Smile

Whoa, was that Jack Bauer? WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR???

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

The only other member I know of is Paige, who lives in Southern California. She's American, but I believe her parents are from the Ukraine, and I believe she grew up speaking Russian as well as English.

My maternal grand parents came from Kosica Bela, in what is now eastern Slovakia, and though they spoke Russian as well as their native Slovak, I haven't spoken it for more than 50 years, and scarcely remember anything of the language.

Best,

Ken V.
