There was one where a man's wife and son were kidnapped. He hired Jack to find them. The couple and son are Muslim. I think it came out in the past couple of years. And if I go any more in detail on this I'll wind up telling you the whole story. Then you won't need to go find it.

That was "The Wringer"! I finished it a few days ago, great story!

I think this is talked about enough that it could be it's own Forum. Titled "Collectors" or some such. People could sell/trade F. Paul Wilson books here. I talked about this with someone (Marc B.?) about creating a webpage off-site for this purpose a while back, but it would be much better to have it here.

Who has the power to create a new Forum?

I imagine that sort of power rests with the co-Queens. Lisa or Susan could do it, I would think.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

Killing time, looking up threads based on the 'what's going on' page when I linked here, re-read the whole thread and can't believe I never brought up "Foet", the grossest little story FPW ever did tell. I think it was in a Borderlands anthology. If you think "Buckets" is distubing...

I bored him with my agonizing storytelling of how I found this book, or rather how it found me. He inscribed it "where it all began." It couldn't be more true.

Rather than using the cliche of picking one story is like picking your favorite child, it's more like picking your favorite centerfold. They're all great to look at, but each one is enticing in a different way.Big Grin But, I really, really like "Soft."

I've only read "The Barrens," I've just ordered "Soft and Others" via Abebooks...

Definitive Therapy.
By far. I've always wanted to see The Joker in his own stand alone story.

Far out.

I thought "Buckets" and "Foet" were both as good as any short stories I've ever read by anyone. The fact they made a point that needs making is that much better.

The Co-Queens are like Gandalf, nearly all-powerful. They answer only to FPW, who is like Saruman, except nicer.
