Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:Hell yeah, I liked it. The Guess Who were a fine, fine singles band. For a good old-fashioned rockin' 60's time, put on their greatest hits album. (Never cared for the sentiments of "American Woman," though.)

Roger that. As good as Guess Who was, I thought BTO was far better.

Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet, Not Fragile (maybe my favorite), etc.

I always found BTO a good, hard-rockin' band, but I preferred the Guess Who because I liked Burton Cummings voice. can't go wrong with either one, though. And this rock talk inspires me to start a thread...

Well, as we said in the '70s, "if it feels good, do it".

Sadly, we've never stopped saying it. And that's why the whole goddamn world is going downhill!

That's not why the world is sad. That's why it's fun!

I suppose we should have added the caveat: if it doesn't affect others negatively, then by all means, if it feels good, do it (and KYFHO)

Well, that's not an unconditional statement, to me at least. Smile

I can't disagree with that.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Gia? Radha Mitchell has certainly improved as an actress since Love & Other Catastrophes. She's great -and tough. So is Franka Potente, who has the right mix of sexy and realistic, and no trouble with accents (she's German). So who can play Gia's daughter? Dakota Fanning's agent would never let her take a bit part; she's already "above the title" and already 11 years old, but her younger sister Elle will be 7 this weekend, and looks to be following in her older SIB'S (couldn't resist the pun) footsteps. All should be peachy by 2006.
My big question, is whether or not the guy who was 2nd AD on Austin Powers is the right guy to direct. Of course if Josh Hartnett is Jack, they already worked togerther on The Faculty.
