"Slasher" and "Faces" are in The Barrens & Others. "...Sea and Air" is in Soft & Others, "Dreams" hasn't been collected yet -- it will be in Aftershock & Others -- but was in The Ultimate Frankenstein which was published in Japan.
Collections don't sell well, as a rule. My publisher does mine as a favor. Neither of us makes any $$ worth mentioning.

The Ultimate Frankenstein is out of print.
So that's why I'm searching for it in used books stores. My searching for books will continue............*sigh*

I have to say that I, too, love the short story anthologies. I'd hate to see them disappear. In fact, THE BARRENS AND OTHERS, is one of my favs of all time.

Keep the collections, yes. Those of us on the old forum were lucky enough to have access to Aftershock at one time, and I have been ever grateful. I would never have gotten an original publication, nor would any of us. I'm so glad it will be the feature of your next collection so the world can see it. I found it one of the best stories I have ever read.
In fact, as soon as I read it, I told my wife: "Read this. This is why I haven't been able to get published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction yet. Look at the level of competition I'm up against!" I loved this story so much, it depressed me for awhile how good it was.
I realize it wasn't in F&SF, so that reference is merely about one of my life goals. They just passed on another one of my stories this week (got it in the mail today). But I will keep trying!
