Hi Everyone!

I just found this board and am glad I know about it now! After a search revealed nothing I figured I would make my first post.

I just received a copy of Gateways as a Christmas present. When I opened it I see what appears to be F. Paul Wilson's autograph on the the title page! Is this legit? Are there many out there?

The book was ordered from either BN.com or Amazon.com by the person who gave it to me.

Thanks for any information!

Hi Scott and welcome to the board! It's a great place to hang out with lots of very interesting people talking about very interesting stuff.

As far as FPW (that would be F. Paul Wilson) signing books, he does. But I'm going to let some of the more knowledgeable collectors get into specifics with you. I've received signed copies of FPW's books from Shocklines.com and borderlands press.

Have fun!

Paul's signature is pretty distinctive. If you want to take a digital picture and post it, any number of us (and even Paul himself) could authenticate it for you, most likely. Because Paul is very accommodating with his signature, you most likely have the real McCoy.

Here is the signature page from my copy, signed by Paul for Gauntlet and again for me at GU3.

Well, as Biggles demonstrated, the Gauntlet editions are all signed. I did do some stock signings of the trade (Forge) edition at distributors' warehouses (Koen was the largest) and it's likely some of those wound up online.

That's the signature that is in this book. But I will grab a scan as soon as I can just for fun.

Hi, Scott, and welcome to the board. If fun, fury and, uh, fun are your delights, you've come to the right site. As far as autographed copies go, I gotta 'fess up. I work for B&N Lincoln Triangle, and I try to keep Paul's books in stock, as much as I can. And as soon as they come in, why, don't I decorate them with a pretty good imitation of Paul's own signature? I think they're prettier that way! HEY--JUST KIDDING ! BIGGLES, THAT'S A LOVELY SHOTGUN, BUT PLEASE POINT IT ELSEWHERE ! MAGGERS, HOW COME THE MARINE FIGHTING KNIFE? QUEENS--LOVELY QUEENS, GRACIOUS QUEENS--IS THAT A--A--NOOSE I SEE ON THE END OF THAT VERY STURDY-LOOKING ROPE YOU'VE GOT THERE? Oh...oh...mercy!

Don't worry Mike. I don't own a shotgun.
