Freyne (I think) was telling Jack "north" Tulsa. He says,
"You ever been to Tulsa? I have. It's too small to have a "north Tulsa."
Well, actually, I grew up in north Tulsa. In fact, in the early 1900's, part of north Tulsa was called Greenwood. This area was called the most prosperous area for african-americans in the country.
And it was, until about 1921. Probably the worse race riot in the history of the country occurred there. I won't go into details, but suffice it to say it was a great calamity.
