I wouldn't have thought of this if Paul didn't have connections with Kojima.

In Metal Gear Solid 4 you can get the Tanegashima, a weapon that has a small chance to create a black whirlwind called Divine Wind that kills all of the enemies in the area.

Well, I emailed Kojima and here is his reply:


Yes, you got me!When I was planning to use "Hidaneju" as special & "too expensive" weapon in "MGS4", I remembered your "Kuroikaze". I implemented Tanegashima which blows everything away including enemy, allies or even battlefield when you fire Tanegashima. This was one of bizzar tips that I included in the game.As an homage of "Kuroikaze", I made my young staff read your book in advance to work on.
