I can't believe you gave Vicky hot chocolate in Fatal Error! Greetings from the UK. I'm both a very old and very new fan. I read The Keep when I was a teenager in the early 80s, and Reborn/Reprisal/Nightworld when they came out. I read The Tomb / The Touch after Nightworld. But somehow, I only recently found out about the RJ books. I'm sort of pleased, as I get to read them all in one go. About a quarter of the way through, I tracked down all the Secret History stories, and read them in order as best I could. I've only got The Dark at the End, and the revised Nightworld to go. I couldn't bear reaching the end, so I started on Cold City. Anyway, I love the books. Thanks for writing them. (PS - despite having the original 6 paperback Adversary books, I've read the rest on the Kindle. There's quite a few OCR errors in some of them. It would be nice if they were chaptered properly too - the Kindle sees most of them as one big chunk.)

Welcome - just like you I'm a Brit who read stuff in then about 10 years ago for me I realised there were a load of FPW books I'd missed. I came back at Legacies and then used e-bay to get all the non Jack books I'd missed.

FPW will be in Brighton at the World Fantasy Con in October (Brighton) - a few of the Brits here are planning to meet up in Brighton.

Welcome aboard

Wow, nice catch on the chocolate allergy, Mark! I'm also a new/old fan, i.e., new to this website, old as a fan. You will LOVE the revised Nightworld. It is absolutely brilliant.

Thanks for all the replies, everyone. Brighton sounds good - it's only an hour or so away for me. It would be great to get my original Nightworld signed.

I think Paul subconsciously regrets giving Vicky the chocolate allergy and keeps passively-aggressively killing her as a result. He killed her the same way in the original edition of CRISSCROSS, too, until an intrepid forum member here found the goof, leading Paul to correct it for later editions.

Hopefully he remembers the allergy when he starts writing the Repairlady Vick series someday. Wink
