For those that have read The Dark at the End and would like to discuss it in detail, post away. For those who have not read it and don't want spoilers do NOT read any farther. You've been warned.

For most of the book I was ready to crown Weezy the Queen of Bad Decisions.

That's the one disadvantage of having read Nightworld... you could pretty much figure out what happened to Weezy and Eddie.

Yeah. I agree, but maybe Weezy was one of those =really= smart girls whose intelligence intimidates potential suitors.

And she hates herself, at a basic level, for being herself.

I'm talking about things like leaving Dawn alone and voting to sleep in the lodge instead of a motel.

When she finally had a good decision (waiting for Jack) everyone else around her vetoed it.

I liked Dawn. I liked her a lot. But c'mon, she was a train wreck.

Not necessarily. Hank is made it through the Dark At The End. I believe he will die in Nightworld, that his dreams were just foreshadowing for his eventual fate. Also Ernst is still kicking it. My biggest disappointment with this book was no mention of the Occulus at all. Did she die or something and I just don’t remember. I believe the last book she was in was Ground Zero. I really liked the character, the power, the relationship to the Ally, and the twist in Harbingers.

One thing about NIGHTWORLD I gotta disagree with Paul about...

The armed forces of every country would have fought back against the hellbeasts. Hard.

I always had hoped that Weezy and Eddie would make it to Nightworld. I figured Dawn and her baby were gonners. So we're left with Hank and Mr Drexler. I hope Hank gets eaten by a chew wasp....from the inside out.

Paul's fiction is so grim, cobalt...

As I posted couple years ago, is that a function as a doctor? He sees sad cases every day, and some are just beyond help or hope at the current state of the medical art? "Please...just two more years...I can heal you then..."
