Would the movie be the story from The Tomb, or would it be a later cross section of Repairman Jack?

They have story rights only to The Tomb, but they also have character rights, which means they can make up their own stories.

If I was a director looking to cast RJ in a film or TV series I would look at either Ryan Gosling or Michael Fassbender. I would want someone with top-notch acting ability who can embody all the facets of the character.

I like the way a 60 year old Tom Selleck portrays the movie version of Jessie Stone, who was 30 something in the novels.

Sometimes the details mean less than the nature of the character.

I agree completely! Selleck is fantastic as Jesse Stone. He's also great in Blue Bloods. You're exactly right, the best results come from casting someone who can embody the character and you don't sweat the minor details such as height and hair color.

This is why I think actors like Ryan Gosling and Michael Fassbender are the right direction for Jack. You want someone who can look completely average and normal one moment, then scary intense the next.

Hey all, I am new to the board and this thread, so I don't know if anyone else has suggested it, but my wife and I think Jim Cavezal would make an awesome Jack.

I think that anyone has seen him in the t.v show Person Of Interest, would understand why I think he would make the perfect Jack. Cool
Have you seen that show?
