Back when I lived in Mineola, Long Island, June 1963--I was 9--I was walking home from a friend's house around 10PM, and I happened to look up to see the stars. (Not a lot of light back then in that burg. You could even see the Milky Way.) Anyway, there was this =bright= light zigzagging across the sky. Pure white. I was entranced. An aircraft? It was changing direction =very= fast.

I don't know what the heck it was.

Years later, as I think I've posted, I worked at Flying Saucer News and Prosperity Clinic Bookstore. Met hombres like John Keel and Ivan Sanderson, got a little bit familiar with how monstrous weird this world is.

And saw a poltergeist in action, saw metal-bending, and psychic photography.

That wasn't my intention or point at all, but in rereading my post I can see how you took it that way.

I meant to defend that Ken was questioning your post as a who/what/where post, please supply details and not just general opinions. Not that opinions are wrong, far from it, but when you put forth that one group has an agenda attacking another group it helps to see what you are talking about and then dive into to the debate/discussion.

I like Ken (KRW) love this kind of stuff and discussions around it, but also like some meat with my potatoes if you know what I mean.

So I will say, I apologise if my post offended you and seemed like an attack or a flame at you. It wasn't meant that way at all.

But, I would also say, don't be so sensitive, it is hard enough to communicate via text over the internet without being easy to upset. It helps too if you stick around to get to know the people who post and their personalities, that at least helps marginally to understand when someone is attacking you or just trying to debate a point with you.

While I have seen several Unidentified Flying Objects, I seriously doubt they are illiegal aliens from the outside the solar system. To me, "unidentified" is commensurate with "inexplicable".

We're way out on the spiral arm, and until a little over a century ago, there was no way any alien race could possibly know we existed by any standard I can think of.

And, of course, I also believe that if a race of aliens discovered us, it would be akin to the Europeans discovering the Americas.

So, yes, I believe there are UFOs, However, assuming they are extra-solar alien ships is akin to assuming there are undiscovered humanoid creatures living in the rain forests of the Pacific Northwest.

Or that the hoofbeats you're hearing outside your window are coming from zebras.

I don't know. Do we include "the stone age", "the iron age", "the bronze age", " the silver age", "the gold age", "the dark ages", "the Renaissance", "the industrial age", "the space age", etc..... I'm sure I'm missing a few.
If we don't count these, I'd say two.

Was that quoted in one of the books? I know that I saw "Fifth age of mankind" in those books somewhere. My memory cannot be THAT bad (yet)
