I didn't think anyone would understand the 24 reference as everyone's in LOVE heaven right now. 24 this season got back to basics: intrigue, espionage, torture and great character development. Self contained season but enough hanging threads for the next season to pick up. When Jack realized Chloe's friendship meant so much to him, I lost it. Real emotion time. Didn't need pliers to yank out my tears.

Jack on the run. That's an ending.

P.S. Now back to the LOVE fest. There's only one answer to the questions of the island. It's love. Pure love. :dancing:

I'm pretty sure its been confirmed there will be a movie.

Yesss! You made my day.

P.S. I'm off to google everything I can find about the project. Logan with a bullet in his head, hanging by a thread. President on the verge of resignation. Russian President about to hunt down Jack. Chloe in charge of CTU. Sounds like a movie to me. Big Grin

On another forum someone quoted Stephen King:

"And will I tell you that these three lived happily ever after? I will not, for no one ever does. But there was happiness.

And they did live."

Meanwhile, I've had Richard Matheson's What Dreams May Come on my mind and want to reread it.

Wow, that is a lot of unanswered questions.

Ok, that is funny, but a lot of those questions either have answers you could figure out on your own or they really just don't matter. I wouldn't mind getting answers for a handful of them, though.

Also wanted to share this link to 108 Things I Love About Lost. It made me smile and get a little misty. These are the things that made us watch and care about this crazy show, most of them anyway. It runs better in Firefox, so use that if you have a choice about it. Enjoy. Smile

As usual, Webby, you took the words right out of my mouth, uh, fingers. Big Grin

Thanks for posting that. It's so great to see all of those moments again. I have been in LOST withdrawal. Of course, I'll watch the series annually for the rest of my life (yes, you can roll eyes at that, those who enjoy rolling eyes), 'cause it's just that rich and deep and satisfying.

I watched that without sound. Is there a sound track to it, Webby?

One of the things I love most about LOST is the music. Michael Giacchino is a genius. Liam downloaded the soundtracks for the 5 available seasons for me. He'll get me the 6th before long. They make for very enjoyable listening. I know when the scene is about Jack, Hurley, Jin and Sun, Ben, Desmond and Penny 'cause I've come to recognize their themes. And I particularly love the Trekking Music Big Grin and also the death scene score. That was first heard when Jack first viewed his father's coffin in the Caves and then played at every subsequent death :cryin:, of which there were many, as we well know.

Actually, I watched without sound also since I'm at work, so I really don't know if there is a sound track. LOL. Big Grin

And I, for one, would not roll my eyes at your annual LOST viewing. I think that sounds like a great idea, actually. For me it could replace my annual reading of The Stand which I finally grew tired of after about twenty years.

Michael Emerson was on Attack of the Show for an interview and he said in the season dvd set there will be an extra that is about 15 minutes of epilogue that explores the Hurley and Ben reign. Can't wait for that DVD!

I understand that the new complete DVD set for the entire show has additional material that will comprise one disc. I pre-ordered the single 6th season, plus the official LOST encyclopedia (yeah, I'm a LOST geek), and the entire new complete set. I'll give my individual 6 season set to my brother, but I'll watch the 6th season on it before I do to see what material it may have that the new complete boxed set won't.

Also, of note, I taped the show as it aired. As Liam was catching up, we watched the tapes until we came to an episode where the tape went wonky. We switched to watching that episode online. We were able to see a portion of the taped show, so that we could compare the two. We were surprised that the online version was edited differently, that scenes were not shown in the order they appeared on air. I thought that was interesting. I imagine the editing for the DVD versions must be different as well.
