Dammit. Dammit. Just dammit. That episode was brutal.

cobalt79 Wrote:Well...LOST has made me cry. Jin and Sun...no fair! Sayid and the Capt too!

I thought Sayid didn't kill Desmond....now we know he didn't. Whatever Sayid lacked in feelings and emotion after his resurrection...he made up in bravery by taking the bomb forward.

I think now...Jack will go after the MIB with a vengeance. Of course others are going to die....who's going to be on the beach alone with the MIB? I'm thinking it's Jack.

Well, we're down to four now. The same four Michael was instructed to bring to the Others at the end of season 2. Significance? Anyone? I have no guess at the moment, I just noticed it was the same four.

You know what would be really twisted? If at the end, it's Ben and Widmore who are left on the island replacing Jacob and MIB.

I still say Ben has a plan in play. Why else did he have a runway built back in season 3? A runway that the Ajira plane needed to land on? Don't count him out yet.

Do you know if it's a 2-hour finale or just 1?

It better be 2 hours. At least.

My bloody damn DVR cut off the end. How did the beach scene end?

In tears. Everyone was crying except for Sawyer, who was still unconscious. Hurley's sobs were heartbreaking.

Did you see the bit with Claire and UnLocke? I think that was the very last thing. UnLocke says the sub sank. Claire asks if they're all dead. UnLocke says, "not all of them." Then he stomps off toward the jungle "to finish what he started".

Thanks. Didn't see that or the sobs. Need to go to ABC.com as soon as the episode is viewable.

OMG! Not Sun and Jin! (Why couldn't it have been Kate instead) I cried so hard. Sayid I expected to do something heroic but I still cried. Then the beach scene made me cry even more. Heartwrenching but great episode. As much as I hate to admit it, Jack will most probably be the one.

Man, last nights episode was hard to take. It's hard to see so many main characters go at once and to go how they did. I just kept thinking about what jack said in sideways and what Locke had written on his note to Jack. "I wish you would have believed me." Wonder if Sawyer is crossed out as a candadite now? That just leaves Hurley and Jack left.

"Sanity? Worthless things like that, I never had them for as long as I can remember!"

Oh, what an episode! Oh, what a series! Oh, each and everyone of those characters is in my heart to stay.

I sobbed and sobbed for Sun and Jin. Did you hear those huge cracking sounds last night? Those were hearts breaking all over America. Ohhhhh, I'm still mourning.

I knew Sayid would come back from the dark side, just as Hurley said he might. Sawyer and Hurley had a brief conversation about Sayid joining them on the boat, and Sawyer said no, that Sayid had gone to the dark side. Hurley said, "but wait, people can come back from the dark side, like Anakin." Sawyer replied, "who the hell is Anakin?" Hurley was right, as we all knew he would be.

And Lapidus, I liked him so much. I don't think they gave his death enough due. I kept looking to see if he might have made it. But he got slammed by the blasted section of the sub. Damn.

I'm still so sad....

I think Jack will be the new Jacob, but Hurley should not be counted out. Hurley has a greater inherent humanity than Jack, and we've seen that Hurley actually has the ability for business and making decisions and deals. I wouldn't put it past this show to NOT make Jack the replacement for Jacob, if only because all signs point in that direction. However, Jack has changed so much over the course of the series, it's been great to see him grow. I've come to really like the kinder, gentler Jack, the questioning, willing-to-take-orders Jack, the Jack who doesn't need to control everything but who does want to include everyone in decisions.

Kate? Well, I suspect she will survive, or perhaps she will give her life for Claire.

And all of this is just what's happening on the Island. How is this all going to merge and jive with the flash sideways? I don't know, but can't wait to find out...and then I'll be so so so sad when the series ends. Boo Hoo!

I've already pre-ordered Season 6. Big Grin

Surely with their ability to manipulate time, the authors can stretch the season finale and make it run to infinity and beyond! Cool
