No, she wasn't. She was taken on the long trek by the Tailies back to the Oceanic 815 survivor camp. She was with Libby, Ana Lucia, Bernard, and Mr. Eko, struggling to survive and hiding in the old Dharma station on the other side of the island. The stewardess was taken when the group was, with great effort, trying to get the injured and unconscious Sawyer up a big hill in an improvised stretcher. Cindy, that's her name! Cindy was at the bottom of the hill, helping, then when everyone else got to the top of the hill, they realized Cindy was gone, taken by the Others.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

Maggers, have we seen the man that was translating in the temple before? He seemed familiar but I could not think from where. You have great recolection Smile

"Sanity? Worthless things like that, I never had them for as long as I can remember!"

He hasn't been on LOST before. But if you saw the HBO series DEADWOOD, he was in that, as was Juliet's sister.

Oh, you are quite welcome. There are three people from DEADWOOD: the translator; Juliet's sister played Calamity Jane on DEADWOOD; and the Dharma torturer, who used drugs rather than pliers on Sayid in 1977, was the hotel manager (I think that was his role) in DEADWOOD. He also was Larry, who was always introducing his brothers Darren and Darren, in the old NEWHART Show.

I think you are right. Someone else mentioned this...that ghost Jacob was studying the dying Sayid for quite awhile as Hurley was peppering him with questions. Then he told Hurley that he had to save Sayid. In watching the episode again, I'd have to agree that Jacob was arranging for his re-introduction to Island society via Sayid.

And I'm not entirely certain Richard is dead. But, boy, Un-Locke throws him a nasty chop to the larynx.

Is anyone as tired of Kate as I am? She runs, she punches, she pulls a gun, she runs some more. She has no real depth as a character.

However, she does climb like a spunky little monkey. There is no tree or cage or pylon that she cannot mount to the tippy top with ease. But excellence on the monkey bars does not an interesting character make.
