Brian Wrote:I believe the last part on the plane is new as well. But let's ask Maggers, she's the LOST expert.

I had just written a LONG post and then got timed out and lost it all. It's better that way. I shall be brief.

I refrained from looking at that 2 minute clip on abc.com because I didn't want to see any spoilers. I want to come to the final season as pure as I can, with only my own thoughts gleaned from watching the previous 5 seasons.

Thanks for the compliment, Brian. Wink

Because the writers of LOST love to throw us curves, I think we can count on the blast not having the effect the characters think it will. It will have a major effect, but we won't know exactly what for at least an episode or two.

Here are my suspicions...
There will be a major war, as declared by "Locke" to Richard. "Locke" said he had to take care of the folks on Ajira who brought him back. I bet, probably as a result of The Blast, all the Oceanic 815 survivors and possibly the Ajira survivors will be reunited at some point during the final season. I bet they will be alive, and most likely will be in the present. I bet they may be the army The Island will gather to fight "Locke." I suspect they will team up with Ajira Alana and her crew.

I want to know about
the whispers
Richard Alpert -who may turn into a column of dust when Jacob dies, as he told "Locke" that he is the way he is (never aging) because of Jacob.
the origin of The Others
the origin of The Island
what exactly is that huge sort ship's wheel that caused the Island to move in time.

And much more.....

What answers do you want to know?

In the Hollywood area, it is common to find Consideration DVDs in second-hand stores. Over the weekend, what with kitty-adopting and all, I just happened to be in the neighborhood for thrift store shopping by Canter's Deli, a landmark restaurant (I saw Richard Moll and spoke to him a bit). I bought some Consideration DVDs, including an FX DVD box (finale of The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me, etc.), an HBO box (Will Ferrell as W, Big Love, True Blood, etc.), and an ABC box (Grey's Anatomy, Modern Family, some other stuff, and the first two episodes of LOST, Final Season).

Believe it or not, I watched the finale of The Shield first; great three-hour finish. The deterioration of Macky's crew from season one is a wonder to behold. Then I watched LOST. Great thing about these DVDs: no commercials, just a blank pause before the program resumes.

I, too, have watched LOST since the beginning and have attended a few conventions. But the theories that fanatics have are far better than what takes place in the first few episodes. I am not disappointed as I'm sure the storyline will pick up. But there are some answers already to some of the questions that have been raised since the first season.

I won't be the one to ruin anything. Nor will I play the "getting warmer" game. I hate spoilers as much as the next guy. Big Grin

P.S. I might risk putting this DVD set on ebay. After the series starts, the set will be worthless. Nahhh. Too risky.

I'd also like to know who funds Ben? What, exactly, is the organization behind The Others. Ben always had money for whatever he needed, and, more importantly, information on any thing and everything.

Some random thoughts...
Little by little, we discovered one of the big mysteries of The Island has been about time, the 4th dimension. We saw flash backs and flash forwards and all that spinning on the skipping record of time in season 5. Perhaps we've experienced all we can experience with shifting time on LOST. Suppose The Blast shifts them to an alternate reality, where time as we know it is meaningless, and its more about the space portion of the time/space continuum. Not to sound too silly, but SEINFELD had an episode where Elaine took up with a group of 3 guys who looked like the SEINFELD regulars, but not, sort of like Bizarro SEINFELD. What if The Blast sends The Island into a Bizarro Island place? But how the hell would they end THAT in one season?

I am sure the writers will be taking us to places none of us could ever have imagined. I can never out guess those crafty creators. I should give up trying.

the whispers

I could be wrong but wasn't it hinted at a little this past season that it was something to with the shifting of time? I could be just mixing theories and memories Tongue but I was thinking there was a scene last season where someone while shifting through time had seen someone in the past and they looked around as they heard something(sort of like the whispers) I don't know its late and im thinking too much lol. Does anyone else remember something like this?

I'm wondering then...... if the whispers heard are the time shifts "moving by" a person or area. That might explain it.

There is so much I want to know...have explained. Magger's list...plus a whole lot more.

Did anyone see the commercial on ABC last night? It showed the plane NOT breaking up...plus alot of other things. I was mesmerized...lol

I don't recall anything like that, but I'm not omniscient. I have seen Season 5 at least 5 times now, really listening, too, for any clue to the whispers, but I haven't heard it.

what I am wondering is:

if the bomb reset time and the plane doesnt crash ... then the events leaiding up to Jacob being killed dont happen so he isnt dead - he found his own loop hole out of the loop hole.

The world is full of idiots ... It's up to you to not be one of them.

Was thinking about the premier tonight(haven't been able to not think about it) and I was thinking about time resetting and them landing at LAX, and it made me think about all the scenes that we have seen of them boarding the plane through all the flashbacks and such. I can remember seeing most of the oceanic 815 at the airport but I don't really remember seeing Locke there. Does anyone else remember a scene with him at the airport? I'm fairly certain im wrong and we have seen him I just can't think of it.

Yeah I could be just injecting thoughts and theories that either I have had or read other places. Who knows :dontknow:
