My queue is clogged with unreleased titles. Any horror, sf, thriller suggestions for me?

I got 4 horror movies-all on the low budget side of things.

End of the Line very gory and disturbing.

Splinter I thought the creature was pretty cool and original-although I guess it bore a strong resemblance to an episdoe of The X-Files.

Midnight Movie a slasher film done right.

Alien Raiders is good mix of thriller/horror.

Try the Blu Ray version of Blade Runner: The Final Cut. The sound and picture are amazing.

Just recently got the DVD version of "Scanners" an oldie but a goodie. The "Echelon Conspiracy" isn't too bad. Since Roman Polanski is in the news you might like "The Ninth Gate" which is a favorite of mine, just released on Blu-Ray.

In the "thriller" genre, try TAKEN starring Liam Neeson.

Neeson is a man with a "very special set of skills," having worked in "threat management" for a long time.

When his daughter is kidnapped to be sold into sex-slavery, he goes about trying to find her and set her free.

Definitely an Action thriller. It was recommended to me by BK Akitas, and I'm glad she did.

I'm partial to Ghost Ship. That opening scene is just awesome!

I liked it a lot. I like seeing aged or aging action heroes.

It's a few years old now, but The Bank is one of the more criminally underwatched thriller gems out there, but number one on that list would be Nine Queens which is very RJish.

Horror: LA TERZA MADRE The Mother of Tears. It's Dario Argento's last chaptor of Suspiria and Inferno. This is pretty amazing horror. Maybe you have already checked it, but if you haven't yet....well, I recommend this to you.

Thriller: Rain Fall. It's Japanese movie, and I'm not sure that US version has English subtitles. But this is pretty good except Kippei Shiina as John Rain.

Yes, that was pretty cool action flick. Bryan Mills is tougher than Jack Bauer! Big Grin
