Wapitikev Wrote:Gotta go with Scott on this one...the baddie in The Keep movie was a bad cross (no pun intended) between Skelator and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Before I read the Keep I thought the movie was good...after I read the book I was left asking: WTF!?

The book is orders of magnitude in quality, story, and creepy, better than the movie.

I totally thought of Skelator too!

When it was announced that THE KEEP would be released on DVD, FPW planned to make a commentary CD. It would have been the first commentary to trash a film.

Paul was going to make it with David Schow and one other whose name I don't remember.

He had planned to entitle it: Hey dude! Where's my book?

Still teaching, Ken.

I now know who David Schow is.

Which is weird because I love the Crow...offhand, do you know why he took so many years off between that, in 1994, and the Texas Chainsaw sequel in 2006? From his IMDB profile it looks like he did a bit of TV in there, but did not get back into film until 2003 and then took another 3 years off until 2006.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

A lot of screenwriters make a very good living scripting adaptations that never get greenlit and doing rewrites for which they get no credit. (You have to add a certain % of new material to a script before WGA allows you screen credit.)

The Crow is a terrible film. Sad

I accidentally dropped a load of worthless change in the street. I was going to just leave it there but a burly policeman lumbered towards me and said, "You'd better pick that up, son."

I hate coppers.

I have no idea. The two times I've met him, we ended up talking about other things -- guns mostly.

And late last year, I got a couple of emails from him asking for some esoteric gun info.

That's all I know.
