I think this year the finale will be built around Ben. Just a guess. Specifically what will "The Incident" be or who will put "the fork in the socket," well, I have no clue.

I think you're correct here about the episode being about Ben. The previews did show Ben on the docks again. I so want to see who gives him that beating. Then we need to find out what Richard does to Ben to heal him. My guess is that Richard will give Ben to the smoke monster to heal and change into an Other.

I think you are exactly right about Ben and the smoke monster. Oohhh... kinda like being raised by gorillas but really, really nasty gorillas.

Speaking of future episode titles- did anyone read somewhere that one of the episodes before the finale will be titled 'Some Like it Hoth'? There was talk of shades of Empire Strikes Back... Or did I dream that?

This episode told us a lot about Ben and showed us what a liar he is. The "island" judged him and damn it, let him live.

Now we know that Desmond put the hurt on Ben for trying to kill Penny. Was Desmond wearing a vest or did something deflect the bullet? It didn't look as if Desmond was bleeding. But I could be wrong.

Now what about that chamber that Ben fell into. Walls covered in glyphs, but are they Egyptian or something just as ancient? Interesting glyph of the smoke monster and Anubis.
I just had a thought, if the writers tie this into Stargate, I'll be very pissed!

What did everyone think about this last episode? Is Ben a total bold face lying bastard.......or what? He tells anyone anything to serve his purpose! I wanted Desmond to beat him for a longer period than he did...lol

Locke, Christian and now Ben's daughter....all "powered" by the island.....or the smoke monster. What I really want to see now is the temple hidden behind that wall that was mentioned. I think I saw in the previews a glimpse of someone opening a gate to it?

So......some questions answered and now so many more.

I'm fine with this to a degree. It seems like whats coming about has been planned for a while with all the hints that weve seen from past seasons. If it just came out of nowhere and they were just throwing crap out there just to tie up loose ends I would absolutely hate it. But with how many tie-ins and things that have come up that have dealt with past things it seems like it has been planned out and has always been on the path to these things.


As for last nights episode, I loved it. I had been waiting for a Ben and Locke episode. One question though I missed what Sun was saying to Ben when he came in the house. Did she say why she was there or anything about Christian? I figured if she did this would peak Lockes interest. And do we know what Locke went in the jungle for when Sun said she didn't ask?

I don't see any Indiana Jones turn here either. Last night's episode fit with the rest of the series, over the long haul, as far as anything fits with anything else on this wild and crazy show. They've been hinting at an Egyptian connection for a while now.

I'm still not sure I will accept a change of heart or a turn of anything from Ben. He's a liar to the core, and I don't trust that that will change, ever.

I've got to watch the episode again to attempt to answer those 2 questions.
