I finally got caught up as well. The last 3 episodes I downloaded from iTunes have been choppy and jumpy and the dialogue has been off with the actors speaking them. It was rather frustrating trying to watch.
Perhaps I need to download a codec or something? If so, does anyone know how to do that?
Anyway, on to the episodes.
I'm glad to see things are getting somewhat better and less perdictable then the earlier episodes this season.
Even though the statue was only seen from the back it sure looked like an Egyptian statue...perhaps Anubis? The god of the dead would sure be an interesting statue to have on the Island. Or maybe it was Horace? I was hoping there wouldn't be an Egyptian connection, but hell I'm not the writers so oh well.
I also picked up on the comment about the pregnant women leaving by the sub, but this woman actually did have her baby. My guess is that the pregnancy issues didn't start until later...perhaps something to do with Ben.
I too was wondering how Ben could be on the Island again. Its one thing to dismiss what he said previously as a lie, but if we assume that Widmore left by the same manner and he cannot get back, then perhaps Ben told the truth for once. Also, he's currently on Hydra Island, not the main Island. Perhaps that has something to do with it as well.
Sawyer's ability to con Horace was pretty convincing as well. Also, I took his comment about the eyeliner as just being another one of Sawyer's jabs at another person...not that it had great significance to Richard Alpert's orgins. He called Ben "bug-eyes"...does that mean Ben has bug genes in his blood? Of course not, its just Sawyer being an ass...I think the same can be said for the eyeliner comment as well.
Overall, things are getting better for this season for me. When I got back from leave last week I downloaded all the episodes I was missing and just finished catching up last night. I just didn't have the desire to watch them, but now things are finally starting to feel like LOST again.
