Really too bad... Sad
Can't even download them...

Well... no new post about the new episode? What's up here?
New episode was extremely great I think!

I wonder if we already know Horace from older season? You can tell me that, I am sure^^
And why is Paul so important for Richard and his guys that they want his body back?

And who exactly are Richard and his people? They cut themselves off from the Dharma Initiative?

So many questions for me... but I guess you can answer some, you all watched the episodes so often ^^

Last night's episode left me with a few answers but just more questions. The 3 years back...3 years later gave me another headache. So Sawyer and company are in the 70's. Now what?
And just how big was that statue in the first scene...when was that!

My head is still spinning.

The 3 years ago/later thing pretty much drove me crazy. It a couple of back and forths to figure out when they were and how it happened. Of course now the scene where Jin comes up on the beach to see Jack, Hurley and Kate in the Darma outfit makes perfect sense. From what I can glean from the "next weeks' previews" I guess they are going to try to stop Ben's "Other" killer takeover. Now how would that freak out the future! But I hated seeing Sawyer with Juliette. Might be a little jealousy. I think Sawyer is hot but I just can't stand Juliette. Too many times when she was like Ben. And they say the next episode isn't for TWO WEEKS! Holy crap! Why not just give me a papercut and pour lemonjuice on it! What am I going to do next week! Aaargh!

Sawyer said that 3 years is enough time to get over someone...then sees Kate on the beach....uh...o

You know why there isn't an episode for 2 weeks? To drive us nuts!

I wasn't a big fan of this episode. The biggest thing that hit me was the stature and sawyer pointing out Richar Alperts Eyeliner. The Eyeliner seemed to point out that maybe its there for a reason and not just how the actor has it. Also what was different about this baby to have been born?

Also did anybody notice you never see Faraday in the three years later parts?

After reading a few Lost-related websites, it seems more and more people think the statue is of the Egyptian goddess Taueret / Taweret. Who, apparently, was the Egyptian deity of protection in pregnancy and childbirth. She was often depicted holding an ankh (amongst other things).

Richard did not seem very interested in what Sawyer had to say about Locke, the bomb, etc. He seemed much more worried about avenging the death of 2 of his people. I would have thought at this point the whole story would have really piqued his interest.

I looked up the guy who plays Richard and it looks like his eyes alway look like that. God what I wouldn't give to have pre-lined lids:

Horace is a VIP in the Island story line, since he is the reason why Ben's father came to the Island with Ben. Horace and a woman who is apparently his second wife (the blond teacher showing the volcano experiment that I mentioned in an earlier post) are the couple who found Ben's mother and father in the woods and helped get them to a hospital just after Ben was born and his mother died giving birth to him.

Which now begs the question...How and why did Horace leave the Island? Probably via the submarine, but what was he doing with that second wife? How'd she come into the picture? What we saw last night took place during the 70's and Ben arrives on the Island...when? How old is Ben? He arrived when he was about 10-11-12, like that. When would that be?

Horace is also the "ghost" that John Locke ran into on the search for Jacob's cabin last year. Horace was chopping down trees, repeatedly, as his nose began to bleed while he was telling John (1) that he was making a getaway weekend home for him and his wife so they could enjoy time away from the Dharma Initiative, and (2) that he (Horace) was dead and had been for 12 years.

It's very interesting to note that Horace apparently had a child with a redheaded woman. Could that woman be Charlotte's mother? Daniel sees a little redheaded girl who is about 3 years old when they are first brought to the Dharma compound and he heartbreakingly realizes that it's Charlotte, but that was three years earlier than the birth scene, when the redheaded woman has a breech birth that Juliette successfully delivers. Soo..... mother/daughter?

So, remember Charlotte said that her mother left the Island....I bet she left Horace behind and then Horace went off and found a second wife, the blond woman.

Quote:And why is Paul so important for Richard and his guys that they want his body back?
I don't know if they want his body BACK. They simply want his body, which they may or may not have known or "had" earlier.

Quote:And who exactly are Richard and his people? They cut themselves off from the Dharma Initiative?
They are the original OTHERS, they were never part of the Dharma Initiative. They were on the Island long before Dharma. Remember, Richard was there during the "jughead" episode where the hydrogen bomb hangs leaking and has to be buried. That took place in the early '50s. Dharma didn't get to the Island till the mid-to-late '60's.

Richard dates back to who knows when. I think he comes from ancient times, perhaps ancient Egypt, which we may see in the next few episodes.
