Man how did you guys manage to survive the weeks between shows? I watched the entire first two seasons each in less than a week-this dragging it out over the course of 12 weeks mkight be more than I can bear-or is it bare?

Anyway I think Dexter will make an excellent father, don't you? What about Deb's new look and who will she hook up with this season? Will another Doakes show up to haunt Dex or will he be free of his co-workers scrutiny? Or will Jimmy Smits, or his brother, character take his place. All in all, I'd say it was the weakest of the 3 season openers(his kill was positively amateurish) but I have faith that it will pick up.

Hearing Jimmy Smits with an accent is weird.

I'm being a little cautious with this season. One reviewer has said that this season isn't is as good because it ends up going in circles. I don't know... the first episode was engaging.

Here's hoping Dexter stays true to the first two season, unlike the abysmal Heros.

Nobody loves my poor thread-except Marc. Sitting down here ignored while they add to the already spent thread of Seasons 1 & 2. We just have to realize that people fear change.

We just weren't done drooling in the other thread yet. :p

How many vikings does it take to change a light bulb?

None. The light from the burning monastery is more than sufficient.

Season 2 in particular was really hard to survive between episodes. I'm actually kind of having fun this season though, because I have Dexter and True Blood back to back - kind of delicious anticipation for Sunday nights!

The crazy thing is... I actually DO think Dexter would be a good father. He really does love kids, and I've always thought that Dexter actually feels a LOT more than he's willing to admit. But because he thinks he's faking all of his emotions (which I don't believe he is, honestly), he's spent a lot of time studying people, so he's gotten VERY good at handling people and situations. That sounds nuts even as I'm typing it, and it's so hard to put into words. :p

Love Deb's haircut. And I'm not really sure where they're going with Jimmy Smits.
But my heart almost stopped when I realized he was at Teegan's house poking around while Dexter was... ahem, poking Freebo.
Deb's haircut is great! But maybe I'm biased since I have always favored short hair personally...

I read somewhere that Deb is supposed to have a "healthy" relationship this season - whatever that is supposed to be. It would be good for her not to be a total trainwreck on the dating front.

Dexter would probably make a great father in his own way. I have my doubts as to how truly emotionless Dexter is, despite his claims that he is.

Dexter needs to get over the shock of learning he is going to be a father first. And I don't think he would make a good dad. Can't really put my finger on it yet, but no....not a good father.

Maybe because he is a sociopath?-albeit a principled one.

Oh why let a little thing like murder deter one from fatherhood? Big Grin

He can just pass on the code of Harry.

I wouldn't but he probably would. Let's see, should I go to the kids band performance or take out that psycho?
