I have come over to your side, Waptikev. After seeing T4 Salvation or whatever number it was, I was very impressed with Sam Worthington. Twas my favorite part in that movie, because Christian Bale kept trying to talk in the whole movie in his Batman voice. Too gravely..lol...Im 100 percent behind Worthington now. I think he can pull it off...

ghaleon..What is it you can see that I do not??For where you can see hope and a future, I see only despair!

He doesn't have countless films behind him to compare this role to. The only comparison really, will be to Star Trek, which I can live with. Unlike others. Look at Edward Norton. You now have to compare Jack with Figh Club, the Italian Job, Death to Smoochie, and any other thing he's done. Chris Pine is a virtual slate. He's done like 3 mainstrem movies.
Nope, but you also don't look like you're running Relativity.Big Grin

I can live with all the movies you mentioned for Ed...since the good ones are great and the bad ones, no one remembers anyway.

I don't think Chris Pine would be terrible, I just don't think he would be great...and Jack needs to be...and Relativity wants him to be.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

Amen, brother. Pass the ammunition.

I too just saw T:Salvation the other night and am now 110% convinced that (if he can develop a more consistent 'merican accent) he is "The One" who would nail Jack.

On the T:S front, SWort MADE that movie. What the hell are they going to do in a sequel to make it worth(ington) watching?

Did anybody else notice something peculiar at the People's Choice Awards? Cause I sure did.

Nominees for Best Breakout Actor?
Sam Worthington--
Chris Pine--
Joseph Gordon-Levitt--
--and Taylor [whatshisnamefromtwilight]

Three of our Jack nominees all in the same place, and which one won the award?

---Taylor [whatshisnamefromtwilight]

Jack
Jeffrey Donovan
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0232998/

Abe
Peter Jurasic
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0432867/

Gia
Amanda Tapping
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0850102/

I would also like to point out that these 3 actors would most likely be willing to do something in the Sci-fi Genre.

All good choices I'm sure, but I'll probably always see Elizabeth Mitchell as Gia.

She would work too. But, I think Tapping would nail it. Just ignore that ridiculous show Sanctuary she is doing now.
