You had to turn it upsidedown and read from the back cover to the front. She was going to return it but I said to keep it. It could be like one of a hundred or so like it.

And I saw my english teacher last week [I just moved back home], he was buying beer and said "Grammer schmammer, I've got a party to get to."

I'll bet he taught Hemmingway as well

No Hemmingway.

It was 10th & 12th grade AP English so we did standard The Awakening, Huckleberry Fin, 1984, Tp Kill A Mocking Bird and the more illusive Illustrated Man, The Importance of Being Earnest, Pygmalian (sp), Macbeth, Beowolf, and Grendel.

In the words of Mr. Dingle
"Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana."

I gotcha but I was making a joke. An english teacher that likes to drink and party. Hemmingway known as a bit of a drinker himself. Big Grin

Well, 6 weeks later and I finally read your post...better late than never, Kev.

You REALLY have to look hard to find JGL in that trailer...you can get a better look in the trailer for Uncertainty which is up on the Quicktime trailers sight, right now.

Facially he looks average enough to be Jack but physique-wise he's a stick-man.

Sam Worthington is still my favourite choice, thus far.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

I think Edward Norton (Fight Club) would make a good Jack.

I've been saying that since this thread started years ago, mikem.

Welcome, MikeM. You'll like it here.

Edward Norton, is a good choice for look and acting ability BUT: at 40 years old, Ed is too old to play a 35 year old in the first Jack movie to say nothing of its eventual sequels.

By the time Nightworld rolls around, lets say 10 years after the first Jack pic, Ed would be 50-52 (depending when filming begins on the Jack movie)...Personally I have trouble believing that ANY 50 year old can pass for 37.

And DON'T want a revolving door Jack a la James Bond's movie history.

Thanks and sorry-have not gone thru all 400+ posts on this thread. Norton can easily portray Jack's "every-man' look and can also show a tough guy bod (Fight Club & American History X)

Jack may be 35 but he's been down some rough roads that will leave the marks
