Can you limit the voting on a poll on this board? I've never run into that option.

If not, no big deal, there are a number of board members who've discussed this topic for almost a decade and though they may not post here, may want to vote for their favourite.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

If you want to limit it mostly to this thread, you just attach the poll to this thread, I highly doubt everyone else in the forum will suddenly take a special interest in it. If we want everyone to participate, we make a new thread and post the poll to that, siting of course that it is for THE vote.

But I have to brag!

On Tuesday I went to my local used book store, expecting nothing overly spectacular, but then, to my suprise, what do I find?

A first edition copy of the Tery by F. Paul Wilson.

Seriously.

I paid $3.50

I love my bookstore.

Also, for $.50 a piece I was able to get some primo, old style editions of Science Fiction Magazines from the 70s and beyond, featuring *dah-dah-dah-dah!* short stories by F. Paul Wilson.

I repeat: I love my book store.

How about Chris Evans? Perfect age, handsome, but not overly so.

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

Eh.
persephoneslove   02-09-2010, 04:58 PM
Maybe that's the point, he's just so "eh" that he could be Jack. He's not great, but he's not bad. He's not uber famous, but he's not unknown. He's not exceedingly handsome, but he's not ugly. He's just so..."eh".

Acceptable.

[And I don't say that often.]

You know, in my minds eye, I see Christian Bale. The dry, sarcastic, only he gets it humor of American Psycho, the paranoia of The Machinist, the resolve of Batman, and the lost hope of Terminator:Salvation.

Is there a better guy to play Jack? I dont think so.
Nick_Rose   02-12-2010, 06:13 PM
Christian Bale?!?!?! Batman? No.

Dark Knight was awesome but as Jack...no. Bad idea.

But as I'm sure as it's raining (is that a puddle?) it's obvious who should play Jack ....Clive Owen

I'm sure it's been tossed about, but rewatching Shoot em' up shows how badass he is and how he would perfectly fit jack.

No...please no...Neither Bale nor Owen fit the bill. Not sure who does really but I strongly think neither of those guys should be allowed anywhere near it.

Why not? I mean, I can't say he's the best actor or anything but he fits perfectly! and untill the spot is taken by someone else I'll be saying that....even if it is to my grave (common when is this ball gunna get rolling?)
