I was thinking of the constrast of styles. Jack has the style of regular, average, workaday person (He's clearly not. I mean, the man weaponized his thumbnails into eye-gougers). Meanwhile, Rasalom has a style of exotic sophistication, a person at home at the highest of polite society, even as he pursues plans to crush all of human civilization to a level lower than the Stone Age. I can see Andrews portraying that contrast.

"The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself. Almost inevitably, he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable." - H. L. Mencken
