I thought I'd give some of you Lovecraft fans out there a heads up!
Sinister Cinema has issued the long little seen film "DARK INTRUDER" from Universal Pictures. Made in 1965, originally a television pilot called "Black Cloak", it stars Leslie Nielson, Judi Meredith, Mark Richman and Werner Klemperer. Directed by Harvey Hart and produced by Jack Laird (who went om later to do "NIGHT GALLERY"). I understand Laird was a big fan of the works of Lovecraft and used themes and ideas for this movie.
Track it down and check it out for yourselves-I fully enjoyed it!

Cat Ballou

Cat Ballou! Haven't seen that one in a while. Good one.

The oldest movie I like is "It's a Wonderful Life". I'm not a fan of old B&W.

But, best old movies from my childhood:

The Outlaw Josie Whales
They Call Me Trinity
Trinity's Still My name
Everywhich Way But Loose
Any Which Way You Can
Smokey & The Bandit
Star Wars IV, V
Blazzing Saddles
Airplane
Best Little Whorehouse in Texas
Caddyshack
Conan the Barbarian
Raiders of the Lost Ark

Anything past 1982 and there are just too many to mention.

Still gotta go with Charles Chapin's masterpiece CITY LIGHTS. "You can see now?" "Yes...I can see now..."

You've got a wonderful time coming, when you see it. See, jonledon, Chaplin asked Albert Einstein and Mrs. Einstein to be his guests at the premiere. Einstein wept at the ending. So did I. So does anyone with a heart.

Hmm. Well, hell. I'll have to give it a look then.

There is a wonderful collection of silent films gathered with narration called "WHEN COMEDY WAS KING". Check out especially Laurel & Hardy's "BIG BUISNESS" featured in this!!!!
