The Galaxy. I live in a relatively small city, so the Galaxy is a pretty big thing to us prairie hick folk. There's nothing really special about it, except it's really big and the seats are really comfy. Their lobbies are usually pretty flashy too. Also, the seats are positioned in such a way that you will be able to see the screen no matter where you sit- unless you get stuck behind Marge Simpson.

I couldn't find any photos. Sorry.

Yes, very cool, Kenji. Judging from the wall contours, it must have fabulous accoustics.

Reminds me of the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills: living-room comfortable with just about the the best sound I've ever heard.

I am addicted to any theatre that has stadium seating. I've almost forgotten what it was like to have a very tall person sitting in front of me obliterating half the screen. Big Grin

Yes, Kenji, just like that. Pretty much all the theatres I go to have seating like that now. I looked for pictures of the theatres near me, but I couldn't find any. :\

Muvico. It's the local Mall's (at least top five biggest in the country) theater. It's got reclining seats with movable arm rests and big long rows in between the seats so you can stretch out. Plus, military discount leaves the tickets to only $6.75! I'm not that old, but I remember when they were a lot cheaper then that.

There was once a man who was all obsessed with the strangest things. Like Nestle Quik, original cdr's and Afro-sheen. He built himself his dome, never left his home, decided life is much better when you're on your own. You might not want my opinion, but he coulda been on to something good.

My favourite cinema in London is the Empire in Leicester Square. Deafening sound and a good view from pretty much anywhere.

This site has some history and old photos, the outside looks different but I don't think the inside has changed much at all.

Empire Leicester Square

When in New York a few years back we were recommended the Ziegfield Theatre by an officer at passport control (it was the second weekend of The Phantom Menace). And we were not disappointed. Great character, good sound, terrific picture, even the film didn't seem that bad (oh great deceiver!).
