Your favorite theaters - Kenji - 08-07-2004 I am interested in your favorite movie theaters. So, please introduce your favorite theaters in here. Incidentally, my favorite theaters are... http://www.cinema-st.com/road/r023.html This theater's name is Nichigeki-Plex . Here is very famous theater in Tokyo. Your favorite theaters - Animagess - 08-07-2004 The Galaxy. I live in a relatively small city, so the Galaxy is a pretty big thing to us prairie hick folk. There's nothing really special about it, except it's really big and the seats are really comfy. Their lobbies are usually pretty flashy too. Also, the seats are positioned in such a way that you will be able to see the screen no matter where you sit- unless you get stuck behind Marge Simpson. http://www.cineplex.com/provinces.aspx I couldn't find any photos. Sorry. Your favorite theaters - fpw - 08-07-2004 Kenji Asakura Wrote:This theater's name is Nichigeki-Plex . Here is very famous theater in Tokyo. Yes, very cool, Kenji. Judging from the wall contours, it must have fabulous accoustics. Reminds me of the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills: living-room comfortable with just about the the best sound I've ever heard. Your favorite theaters - Noelie - 08-08-2004 I am addicted to any theatre that has stadium seating. I've almost forgotten what it was like to have a very tall person sitting in front of me obliterating half the screen. Like this? http://www.cinema-st.com/road/r017.html This theater's name is Hibiya Scala-za. Your favorite theaters - Noelie - 08-08-2004 Yes, Kenji, just like that. Pretty much all the theatres I go to have seating like that now. I looked for pictures of the theatres near me, but I couldn't find any. :\ Your favorite theaters - sublime1983 - 08-09-2004 Muvico. It's the local Mall's (at least top five biggest in the country) theater. It's got reclining seats with movable arm rests and big long rows in between the seats so you can stretch out. Plus, military discount leaves the tickets to only $6.75! I'm not that old, but I remember when they were a lot cheaper then that. I like it, and I wanna go to there! http://www.muvico.com/main/muvico_egyptian.htm Japan also has a beautiful theater, too. Small theaters, but beautiful. http://www.roppongihills.com/en/facilities/index.html Your favorite theaters - Dave - 08-09-2004 Kenji Asakura Wrote:I am interested in your favorite movie theaters. So, please introduce your favorite theaters in here. My favourite cinema in London is the Empire in Leicester Square. Deafening sound and a good view from pretty much anywhere. This site has some history and old photos, the outside looks different but I don't think the inside has changed much at all. Empire Leicester Square When in New York a few years back we were recommended the Ziegfield Theatre by an officer at passport control (it was the second weekend of The Phantom Menace). And we were not disappointed. Great character, good sound, terrific picture, even the film didn't seem that bad (oh great deceiver!). Woow, this is great! I felt traditional Great Britain history! |
