I didn't begin to think that way until last night; but the thought that whomever is in the casket is someone we may not even know yet is viable.

I didn't like Naiomi having enough strength to climb a tree to get the drop on Kate, especially when she died two minutes later. Couldn't she have hidden behind a tree? Maybe played possum? Just didn't feel right to me.

I guess you've got a fabulous big HD screen and HD cable? I'm sure the look of the show is much prettier. I've watched the DVD's of LOST on my laptop which has a crisp, sharp image. Is that what you mean about it being a whole different show? The quality of a HDTV is better than what you see on your laptop. Seriously, HDTV watching is a real treat. If you can afford it, buy a widescreen HDTV with a 1080 resolution. We bought a lower resolution and we thought it was da bomb until we saw my parent's 1080!

The caveat is that you must check with your HD cable or satellite provider to make sure what channels they offer in your area in Hi-Def. For example, since I live out in the sticks I get TNT, HBO, SHO, ESPN and a few other movie channels in Hi-Def, but no local channels. In fact, most of the HD channels are sports related and I don't care for sports.
So although I have a HDTV, I can't watch Lost in Hi-Def. I wouldn't think you'd have a problem since you live in NY.
Even when the channels aren't HD, the picture quality is still superior than a regular tv.
My parents have an enormous wide screen HDTV at their house. When we visit, we're all mesmerized by it. Even the dog is captivated! LOL

The person inside was not a friend or a family member of Jack, but he was clearly an emotional wreck at the funeral home. However, Kate didn't care who was in it. Also, Jack really wanted back to the island, but Kate didn't care or want to go back. Therefore, whoever is in the casket may have had the ability to make Jack's wish come true and return him to the island. Which makes me wonder if the casket contains...Walt.
