The problem with the Arthurian movie (Arthur movie reminds me of Dudley Moore

), is that he removed all the mysticism. He made it 'real', and that is just draining away the fun right there.
If he tried to do the same to Jack, then it won't be Jack (although you may like it Auskar).
If we're talking Asian directors, then my vote is with Park Chan-Wook. His vengeance films are genius storytelling and visually stunning.
